Cleaning the sink
Instructions:
- Sprinkle a thin layer of bicarbonate over the entire sink.
- Cut a lemon in half and rub the sink with the fruit side.
- Rinse, and you have a shiny clean sink without chemicals.
Cleaning a dirty oven tray
Instructions:
- Pour vinegar into the tray so that the liquid covers the bottom.
- Preheat the oven to 50 °C and leave the tray in the oven for a few hours, after which the dirt should come off easily.
Homemade window cleaner
Instructions:
200 ml spirit vinegar
about 5 drops of dishwashing liquid
300 ml water
Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle and shake. Spray on the window and wipe clean with a kitchen towel. Fast, easy, and effective.
Cleaning dirty joints
Instructions:
- Mix bicarbonate and water into a moderately thick paste in a jar.
- Apply the paste on the joints using a toothbrush and leave on for about 15 minutes.
- Use the toothbrush to scrub, and then wipe clean with dishcloth and water.
Getting rid of flower flies
Here are some tips!
- Stick a few matches head down into the soil. Flowers flies cannot tolerate the sulphur on the match, and will die out within a few weeks.
- Allow the soil to dry out thoroughly between waterings. Then eggs and larvae die, and you will slowly get rid of the flower flies.
Fresh microwave
- Cut a few slices of a lemon and place them in a bowl or plate.
- Turn on the microwave and let it run for a few minutes. Keep an eye out so the water doesn't boil over.
- Remove the bowl and then wipe the microwave with a kitchen cloth. Clean and fragrant in no time!
