Skebo’s housing committees encourage tenant involvement and give tenants influence. Each housing committee comprises a group of tenants in a residential area, who together with Skebo work to increase the well-being of those who live in the area. For example, it can involve arranging parties or dinners, or sprucing up the common areas and gardens together.
In many areas, there is a common room that the housing committee and tenants can use for various activities. Where there is no common room, the housing committee has the opportunity to use a premises in a nearby area free of charge. Only residents (tenants) of the area (area number) may use the premises.
Skebo would like there to be housing committees in all residential areas, and if you would like to form a new one, kindly contact us at Skebo. A committee is easy to form and participation is not demanding, but it gives you the opportunity to have an influence and contribute to the positive development of your residential area. There are currently around 80 housing committees, and in Skebo allocates a total of just over SEK one million for the committees to use.
